During the European Youth week “Future Challenges for young people” (2- 6 November, 2008) more 250 young people from Europe have draw their recommendations as an input for the European Commission which is preparing the framework of European cooperation in the youth field to be launched on 2009.

Young people met in Brussels to formulate their positions and express our fears as well as their hopes for the future Europe whose policies will directly affect their life. It was not just a one-off event, but rather a part of the Structured Dialogue between the policy makers of EU and civil society. It is obvious that consistent European added value will only be achieved in a true dialogue with young people and youth organisations in all stages of policy development and implementation, both at the European and national level.
