Youth Policy Watch - Calls and deadlines
As in every Newsmail, as part of Youth Policy Watch, YEU is promoting actions, calls and events that you could be interested in. Also important deadlines to have in mind.
- 11th European Quality Assurance Forum(EQAF), 17-19 November 2016, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
"Quality in context - embedding improvement" hosted by the Slovenian Student Union and the University of Ljubljana.
- DARE International symposium "Combining history learning and human rights education", 29-30 September 2016, Berlin, Germany.
Educators in secondary school, university based teacher training, at museums and memorial sites as well as in non-formal education have the opportunity to take part in sector specific workshops. Education policy on combined educational approaches will be discussed by a panel. During the event, there will be a book launch, which will present the two most recent publications on combining history learning and human rights education: Martin Lücke, Felisa Tibbitts, Else Engel, Lea Fenner (Eds.) (2016) for Change – Handbook for History Learning and Human Rights Education in Formal, Non-formal and Higher Education and Claudia Lenz, Sanna Brattland, Lise Kvande (Eds.) (2016) for Crossing Borders. Combining Human Rights Education and History Education. Registrations are open!
- NECE 2016: Conference: Crossing Borders. Migration and Citizenship Education in Europe, 10-12 November 2016, Zagreb, Croatia.
Organised in cooperation with LLLPlatform member DARE Network, it will aim at two areas: firstly, it will look at the ongoing European response to the issue of migration including the divisions within and between European societies. Secondly, participants will be called to discuss how citizenship education should react to the polarising debate and the controversies about migration, diversity and identity which have been triggered by the new wave of migration since summer 2015. - LLLAwards2016 and LLLWeek2016
LLL Platform is annoucing the call for the Awards 2016, which aim to celebrate creative and inclusive initiatives in lifelong learning. The awards will be presented during our LLLWeek2016, from 10-13 October, this year in partnership with the European Youth Forum.
