Youth Policy Watch - Call for Consultations
YEU acknowledges how important is to be consulted and have an input in decision-making procedures. Therefore, the Administrative Office, will be sharing or running consultations to be filled up and forwarded to relevant stakeholders. It is vital that, as a Network, we can share our philosophy, opinions and ideas and therefore “push” for the best outcome which will benefit each Member Organization (MO) and our local communities.
Based on the research made, here are important consultations for you to follow-up, share and answer.
- Towards a social pillar of social rights
Skills and qualification are part of the discussions regarding the social pillar of social rights. There is an open consultation open until 31 December 2016. You can find information on the European pillar of social rights through this link.
- Public consultation on EU development policy
How should the EU integrate the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in its development policy? How can it better include youth in development and its external policies? The European Commission is looking at revising the EU Consensus on Development and has launched a public consultation. This is an opportunity for youth organisations to put forward ideas. The European Youth Forum will put together a response for the consultation and will be looking for input from members (more information to follow), but we would also encourage organisations to respond to the consultation individually. The consultation is open until 21 August 2016.
The European Commission is launching an online consultation for young people to share their opinion and ideas on how to encourage more young people to get involved in their communities, through volunteering and other activities. Take part in this initiative and to spread it amongst your national and international networks.
