YEU WELCOMES AMAYA AND ROCÍO
Yeu International is happy to introduce you to two new members who will work in the administrative office in Brussels. Amaya is half English half French, and Rocío is Spanish.
Amaya is currently undertaking her Master’s in Human Rights and Conflict Management at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa. Amaya first moved to Brussels in 2017, after graduating in International Relations and Spanish, where she soon started volunteering with the Red Cross and other local NGOs and associations working alongside migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and homeless people.
Aside from thriving in multicultural contexts, Amaya also enjoys learning new languages. She is half English and half French, but also speaks Spanish fluently and practices her Italian and Arabic when she can. Amaya is passionate about Human Rights and strongly believes in social cohesion through community-based projects.
Rocío is from Madrid, where she studied Audiovisual Communication and Graphic Design. Her career in communication started in 2015, and from then she’s worked in either big international companies, start-ups, and organizations, which has given her the opportunity to learn a lot from these experiences and develop creative skills. She had the great opportunity of moving to Brussels and working in the European Parliament as a Schuman Trainee, which led her to the amazing chance of working in YEU once she finished her traineeship.
Her passions are dogs, reading fascinating books, travel photography, and Neapolitan pizza. She believes firmly in the power of small actions as multipliers of big results. Start a small good habit, and repeat it day after day, improving just 1% every day. In five years you will see how far you have gone. You can apply this to each area of your life.
We are really happy to welcome them. We would also like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly thank Katarzyna and María for their contribution to the work of YEU office, who left us after working in YEU for several months.
