Once more YEU will be present at the 17th edition of the University on Youth and Development, which is held within the framework of the Network of Universities in Youth and Global Citizenship. YEU has a long history when it comes to participating and supporting the University in Mollina, Spain. This year, YEU will be taking part with the Project called “RESTART: rethinking, assessing, activating and evaluating youth organizations” which is supported by European Youth Foundation.
On this occasion, YEU was present on the 15th and 16th of June in Mollina during the Partners Preparatory Meeting together with representatives from INJUVE, CJE (Spanish Youth Council), European Youth Forum, AEGEE-Europe, OBESSU, IUSY and the coordinators of the Media and Pedagogical Team. The coordination of the meeting was under the representative of North-South Centre of the Council of Europe, Rocio Cervera. During the meeting partners talked about their projects, trainings and general issues (joined program, logistics, sharing workshops, dissemination etc) of the UYD. Important issues were this year’s topic on “Connecting Identities” the impact of the University and the main outcomes of the 17th UYD.
As addressed by AEGEE, there should be impact measurement and also partners got to reflect on the expected political impact of the University. Related to the issue, during the meeting, it was decided that YEU, NSC, YFJ, IUSY and AEGEE-Europe will be part of a working group to discuss and develop the framework related to a Declaration presented as a result of the work done during the University. At the same time, YEU and AEGEE will get to present GREAT, the project they are both working on. At the same time, YEU will be testing the Self-Assessment Badges created within the Project European Badges Alliance which the organization is part of.
