YEU at the kick-off meeting of WYRED
As mentioned in the previous Newsmail, published in end of September, YEU is part of a project called WYRED - netWorked Youth Research for Empowerment in the Digital society. In order to start the WYRED process, the consortium met for their kick-off meeting in Salamanca during the 2nd and 3rd of November 2016. YEU was also there, represented by Tamara Gojkovic (Secretary General) Panagiotis Chatzimichail (Policy Officer). During the meeting, after the opening of a Conference held by the University of Salamanca and the 1st official presentation of the project, the partners had the chance to work together on the general understanding to what WYRED is about.
The general outcomes where that all partners focused on the engagement of youth and to the full participation of them for the whole duration of the project. On the next step, each organization had the chance to present their Working Packages and the expected work to be implemented during the duration of the project funded by H2020. At this point it is important to mention that YEU has the responsibility of Work Package 4 related to the Manifesto of the Project and also to the creation of Network as set by WYRED project. The presentation for the part that YEU is leading, was done by the Secretary General – Tamara Gojkovic.
Overall, the hospitality of the host (University of Salamanca) was amazing and partners got the chance to meet each other better and discuss further cooperation within WYRED, but also in general. At the same time, the work done by the consortium has set in a very clear way what is to be done and what it has reached the expectations of all partners and staff that will be fully engaged during the duration of the program.
