United Societies of Balkans – Activities of January 2021
United Societies of Balkans, one of our partner’s organisation from our project Brave New You Reloaded, has created a video poetry. The video is an output of one of their workshops on creative/automatic writing made during a Zoom meeting due to the Covid19 measures. The ESC volunteers of USB took the recording audio of this workshop and used it to produce this video poetry adding evocative images and subtitles.
As part of the creative writing workshop, the participants were reading poems that represent their feelings and thoughts. Creativity is at the forefront of their purpose by using imagination, feelings, experiences in order to tell a story through strong written visuals with an emotional impact.
In the context of the project SCRIPT, the United Societies of Balkans have organised a multiplier event in Thessaloniki on 29/01/2020, for the promotion of the project and its outputs, as well as to get in touch the locals with the art of Podplay.
The event was well organised and all the safety measures were taken regarding the COVID-19. The activity began with some ice breakers and name games, so the participants could get to know each other and feel comfortable. A brief presentation of the project SCRIPT was made and it was followed by the Theory of Podplay, what it is, the different approaches that may have and what is the use of it.
After a small coffee break, the presentation of the 4 Intellectual Outputs of the project was made while after it, a part of the pod plays of Greece and the other partner countries was made.
During the whole event, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions and add any comment. After the presentations, the participants had the opportunity to make more concrete questions, comments and explain what the project was about.
At the end of the event, the participants gave feedback to the facilitators of the event, evaluated the activity and the whole project, and expressed their interest in participating in similar events.
