Social Erasmus+ Kick-off Meeting
On Monday 18th of December 2017, the 9 partenrs of the Social Erasmus+(SE+) project had met in Brussels, Belgium to have the Kick-off (1st) meeting of the project. With overal target to understand better the project and to define clearly all roles, ESN as host and coordinating Organization introduced all partners to the concept/process of Social Erasmus as implemented till that point by their Network. In order to assure a diverse and more cross sectoral appraoch, partners represent Student Organizations, HEI and Organizations and at the same time an organization expert in Non-Formal Education and Trainings.

Core aim of the project is to build bridges between Students and High schools in local societies, while aiming to better integrate exchange students in local society, teach exchange students the local values, spread intercultural awareness and tolerance towards students at an earlier age by confronting them primary, secondary and/or High School students to an international atmosphere and to allow real-life learning in classroom experience. When it comes to the role of YEU speciffically, as pionners of Non-Formal Education and with a strong team of Trainers, our task is to organize and implement the trainings that will take place in Slovakia and Poland within 2018 and 2019.
Within the coordination process and discussions in relevance to the process, a highlight of the process it was the presence of Ms Hermans (Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture - EACEA) in order to meet all partners and share the interest of the Commission in relevance to the project and the process itself. Parallel, the meeting included the participation of the External Evaulator of the project, Mr Rafael De Paz Uruena.
