It is All Digital in IRELI during COVID-19
Ireli Public Union organised #AllDigitalMonth, a whole month encouraging and trying to keep young people at home, spending their days more productively during the quarantine regime announced by the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. All Digital Month has ensured the development of young people through online trainings, webinars and live broadcasts.
As part of #AllDigitalMonth, a series of online webinars were organised in cooperation with ATL Academy on “Internet Security. For example, we made a webinar about how to protect network accounts during these days as many hackers are stealing accounts and taking advantage of people being at home the whole time using the Internet as their only way of communication. We did not only talk about how to properly protect them, but also about how an account gets broken and which personal information you should add to your social media or how the one you shared can be more protected to prevent hackers from knowing about it. We shared the answers to these questions with the young people participating in the training. Out of 198 people who applied for participation in the training, 100 people were able to participate and did so.
#TətildəOxu started taking into account the suspension of educational institutions and the beginning of the holiday. The main goal was to increase reading among young people, encourage them to spend their free time productively and make reading a habit.
Action Week – This project is aimed at developing the research skills of young people, as well as the acquisition of knowledge in various fields. Nowadays having knowledge about different topics may lead to many doors being opened, so for example, knowing about journalism, how to be a blogger or soft skills about digital design, can make you be the chosen one for a job when being compared with other people. Little details make the difference. Cooking is not a required skill when finding a job, but cooking is always a good skill to have when sharing moments with friends or family. Other skills we thought that could be useful were writing, geopolitics (as we live in a globalized world) or how to do research in a proper and easy way. This way, young people will gain new skills by participating in activities designed for these specific professions.
