Erasmus+ Coalition Update
This September, the 2nd meeting of the Erasmus+ Coalition took place.
YEU is, as part of Erasmus Plus Coalition coordinated by Lifelong learning Platform and European Youth Forum, advocating for certain improvement of the programme in order to make it more user and youth friendly. This also related to the fact that that mid-term evaluation of Erasmus plus programme will be done during 2017, therefore it is important to advocate for a better implementation.
European Parliament has presented the draft report of the implementation of the Erasmus plus programme and many things have been noticed as missing. However, there is place and time for amendments and we are working closely with other organizations and platforms to amend the report.
At the same time Erasmus plus 2017 Workplan is out and you can see the priorities and figures in the link. Overall priorities will be social inclusion, open and innovative practices, in a digital era, transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications.
Specific priorities in the field of youth will be: quality youth work, empowerment, entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship. A cross-cutting priority will be social inclusion and equity in education, training, youth and sport, also in line with the Paris Declaration, through formal and non-formal education and training, from early childhood education and care, over school education, youth activities, vocational education and training and higher education to adult learning.
Stay tuned for more upcoming information.
