Youth for Exchange and Understanding International is looking for a motivated person for the part-time position of Fundraising Officer.
Youth for Exchange and Understanding is an international youth organization. It was founded in Strasburg, in 1986, by a group of 120 people, from 11 different countries. Today it’s a member of the European Youth Forum and LifeLong Learning Platform and carries the title of an International Non-Governmental Organization, recognized by both the Council of Europe and the European Union. The Fundraising Officer will work under the supervision of the
Fundraising strategy and objectives
Coordination and monitoring of YEU fundraising targets;
Further development of the fundraising strategy;
Preparing periodic updates on the same;
Identify funding opportunities to reach strategic goals
Supporting YEU Member Organisations in their fundraising activities and efforts
Grant development and compliance
Write grant applications, concept notes and funding proposals;
Support development of project budgets for funding applications;
Coordinate grant compliance, including reporting schedule and submission of projects M&E documents;
Provide guidance and support to YEU staff in grant compliance.
Ensure that new funding opportunities are identified (both in public and private sectors)
Partnership building and management
Identify relevant partners and establish communication with them;
Establish and maintain good relationships with existing and potential donors
Represent YEU towards external stakeholders and during external events
Prepare different narratives presentations for different types of donors and partners
Strengthening capacities of YEU Member Organisations in fundraising and partnership building
Communications and Fundraising
PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in fundraising, budget development and monitoring, and/or donor relations;
Proven experience in soliciting funds from diverse sources (public and private sectors).
Proven success in generating substantial funds.
Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Excellent diplomatic and marketing skills.
Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
Good understanding of the international non-profit associations' environment

Good financial and budgeting skills;
Good analytical and strategy development skills
Fundraising experience with online engagement /networks;
Knowledge and understanding of YEU;
Strong presentation, writing and reporting skills.
