Open Campus makes first steps in Croatia
First training course of OPEN CAMPUS - Online platform for e-learning and networking for cooperation and advocacy on marginalization and providing understanding of social inclusion has just finished in Zadar, Croatia.
Aim of the training course “Discovering multimedia for inclusion and social rights & getting ready for action” was to gather the volunteers of OPEN CAMPUS teams, youth leaders and youth workers of the partner organizations to explore and learn about the main concerns on social inclusion and marginalization and how to use audio-visual and multimedia tools for sharing information and advocacy regarding marginalization of young people.
During the training participants learnt about social rights, social inclusion and obstacles (economic, geographic, disability etc.) with different reference points: employment, discrimination, racism, diversity, xenophobia, poverty, access to education and training, quality services etc. Besides that, participants were discovering how to create content for blogs, videos, documentaries, how to use our online platform and other online tools and social media. After they gained required skills and knowledge on content, methodology and technology, participants created concrete action plans to be implemented in local level after the training.
