Your first EURESS job
Are you a young person between 18 and 30 looking for a job in foreign country? Or maybe you are a young employer having problems with finding suitable workers in your country? If you are one of the aforementioned, the new EU Commission initiative “Your first EURESS job” might be something that will help you.
The initial phase of the Programme is one of the actions in the Europe 2020 flagship initiative Youth on the Move and Youth Opportunities Initiative. It aims to improve cross-border mobility for 5 000 young people; four selected employment services from Germany, Spain, Denmark and Italy will help young people look for work in Member States other than their own.
The Programme provides support for both jobseekers and their potential employers. On one hand, it helps young professionals to match with job ones are interested in and have suitable competences, as well as ensures funding for costs of the interview trip and moving abroad to take up a new job. For the employers the Programme offers recruitment support and also some small financial support to cover part of the cost of the training of the newly-recruited workers to help them settle in.
