A “€uroXibition” at the European Parliament
The 2nd of October 2012 was marked with the presentation of a very important exhibition at the European Parliament in Brussels, the “€uroXibition”. The “€uroXibition” is a result of six months of intensive work of five young Serbian and five young Albanian photographers, that gathered the ideas and perspectives of their realities towards EU and shared their thoughts through photos. The ten photographers took photos and captured symbolisms of the EU and Europe in their environment. Through their photo work, the ten artists adopted a more constructive approach towards their societies breaking all the prejudices inside of them, myths that exist among nations and facing all the glory and poverty of their societies, which are striving to become part of the EU.
This exhibition was a very important event for those that believe in a different future and want to break every prejudices or borders. Not just for the young photographers, but also primarily for the young citizens, this work is a positive example on how it is better to collaborate and work together, not only for communities that are geographically so close, but also for whole Europe. The exhibition that has travelled all the way from Pristina (Kosovo UN) to Belgium is now on its way back with further plans to be presented in more countries afterwards.
