New faces in YEU office
YEU International had the pleasure to welcome three more members in its Administration office in Brussels. Katarzyna comes from Poland, Agata from Italy and Maria from Spain.
Katarzyna works as a Project and Advocacy Officer. She started her adventure with NGOs during her studies when she was a board member responsible for fundraising in a students’ organization. After finishing her Bachelor studies, she went for EVS to Centre for Intercultural Dialogue (a member organization of YEU) in North Macedonia. She gained good knowledge and understanding of the youth field and functioning of youth organizations during an internship at the Council of Europe, at the Youth Department and while she held a position of Secretary-General of AEGEE-Europe. Lastly, she obtained a Master Degree in social policy with a specialization of management in NGOs and Civil Organizations. Her Master thesis was focused on youth engagement in decisions making process in the European Union and ASEAN. Even though she lived in different countries, and in different continents she still likes travelling and visiting new cultures. She likes spending time with friends and doing various sports.
Agata Papotto has joined YEU’s Team in March 2019 as an Intern through the Italian Civil Service Project, changing her position as Projects Assistant in February 2020. She is from Italy, and in addition to her graduate and postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology, she was a member of the University of Catania’s ‘Contamination Lab Master’ which is a training program on social entrepreneurship where she completed several courses on topics such as project management, communication strategies and problem-solving. This experience enabled her to develop creative ideas in a structured way and in order to broaden her horizon, she decided to move to Brussels to gain professional experience in a multicultural environment with an internationally oriented organization. Passionate about the art world, cinema, travelling, and nature. She believes in the beauty of simple things and that the freedom of choice is an untouchable right.
María Delgado Mena started as an intern in March 2020. She is from Spain and she arrived to Brussels looking for new adventures and experiences since she had never been living abroad before.
Maria is a very communicative and very social person, so she loves speaking and languages. As she loves languages, she decided to study Translation and Interpreting but she realised she also loves helping people and helping society. For that reason, she did a Master’s degree in International Relations where she started loving politics, human rights and equality!
She didn’t feel fulfilled being at home as she needed to travel, meet new people and put all that knowledge on practice! She loves animals, baking and laughing. She believes kindness is the best part of humanity.
