Manual how to access banned websites
Following the recent events and decisions of the Turkish government YEU International, with strong believes in freedom of speech, expression and information would like to share with everyone on how to bypass those restrictions imposed by these kind of acts.
When a website content is filtered through the Internet there are two major ways for Internet Services Providers (ISPs) to do so. First, make changes to local DNS (What translates domains to IP addresses- DNS) so that they translate to fake locations. Second block destination IP addresses so if you use other DNS service, for example Google's (18.104.22.168) you still don't have access.
Having explained how they filter/block a website we propose to you to types of solutions to you.
1. Change your DNS settings on your computers to non-local ones. Google services like YouTube do not use only one destination IP, but instead have a bunch of IP to serve all the world, so this might do the trick for you. A quick google search “Free DNS Servers” should give you some numbers. Follow the link to change only the DNS settings on your computer.
Usually you just input only 2 IP's but here is a list of possible DNS Servers you can use.

2. You will have to setup a VPN service on your computers, but we highly do not recommend for high bandwidth usage like YouTube. We suggest to use VPN services for uses like twitter, facebook, newspapers, etc. As a note, VPN is usually used as last resort since DNS usually works. The positive thing with VPN its much more difficult, or nearly impossible for ISP's to track your whereabouts on the Internet. Below are links with instructions how to setup a VPN on your computers.
Websites that have free VPN accounts. Google search “Free VPN Service”.
*Some websites do not require you to make changes as per our manual. Instead you install a program from them.
