Apathy you dont belong here anymore
I bet you all heard about floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina (and Serbia and Croatia), and facts about how many people died, lost everything they had, how landmines are moved, fields destroyed, how these countries will need years and years to recover, how governments didn't reacted as they should, and the list goes on and on.
But there's another side of this story. And what can I tell you for shure - is that I have never seen more compassion, care, love, solidarity and activism than now. Now, it didn't matter are you a muslim or ortodox or catholic - because we were all humans in desperate need for help. We felt united, and that's something which I didn't felt for a long time in my country. Nature was the one who showed us that we are all equal, no matter the nationality, religion or social status..
When you see more 200 volunteers coming in less than one hour to the Youth Centre at Banja Luka, and than more and more coming, you see that young people are really pillar of one country. Thanks to the Youth Council of Republic of Srpska and citizens of Banja Luka, more than 25 000 packages of food, clothes, hygiene etc. were collected and packed in less than one week and distributed with help of young volunteers directly to the people in several cities which needed it the most! Currently, 6 large trucks with food, hygiene, mattresses, baby food, clothes, medical help which were sent from Germany are also distributing directly to people in need in joint humanitarian action of the Youth Council of Republic of Srpska, NGO "Nova generacija" and Association of private companies "Business Club Banja Luka". All that help will be spread thanks to young people! In all those actions actively participated members of our member organisation "Cerebra".
On this test of humanity, we have scored the most! Now, let's just keep it that way.
