YEU International MOs celebrated International Youth Day
What is Youth Day?
On 17 December 1999, in its resolution 54/120, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the recommendation made by the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth (Lisbon, 8-12 August 1998) that 12 August will be declared as International Youth Day. The theme of International Youth Day 2013 was "Youth Migration: Moving Development Forward ."
Youth Day is meant as an opportunity for governments and others to draw attention to youth issues worldwide. Concerts, workshops, cultural events, and meetings involving national and local government officials and youth organizations take place around the world in honor of International Youth Day.
This year, from Azerbaijan to Portugal, trough Serbia and many other countries, YEU Member Organizations were celebrating August 12th, International Youth Day in different ways.
