YEU in Vilnius!
The Structured Dialogue is an instrument to ensure that youth policy meets the needs and expectations of young people across the EU by bringing together young people, youth organizations and policy-makers to jointly discuss and feed into youth policy at national and European level.
The Trio Presidency – Ireland, Lithuania and Greece – together with the European Commission and the European Youth Forum have agreed Social Inclusion as the overarching theme for the 18 months from January 2013 to the end of June 2014. This theme emphasizes the concept of social inclusion involving all young people, in addition to those with fewer opportunities.
We are pleased to inform you that YEU has been accepted for the EU Youth Conference in Lithuania. The conference will take place in Vilnius between 9 and 12 of September with the participation of other INGYOs and NYCs. We will be working on the topic of social inclusion and common recommendations which have to be taken into account in each country of European Union by the national governments.
Structured Dialogue is a very meaningful process and is an opportunity where young people can influence their peers. We will be updating you on the outcomes of the conference.
