YEU General Assembly 2017 outcomes
In the end of 2017, YEU Member Organisations gathered in Brussels, Belgium for a regular annual YEU General Assembly (GA).
During two days in December (16th -17th ), Governing Board members and representatives of Member Organisations discussed all the relevant YEU issues. During this GA, Governing Board presented the annual report, budget 2018, work of the working groups and their outcomes as well as Strategic plan 2018-2020 with Workplan 2018. Both Strategic plan and Workplan have been adopted unanimously.
In the upcoming years, YEU will be working on issues related to non-formal education, youth work, social cohesion and sustainable development. An additional and very important
perspective we will maintain to take care and implement in our work will be gender and gender equality as transversal issue.
YEU Office has also presented the ongoing and future projects and opportunities for deeper cooperation with our Member Organisations and special emphasis was given to work of the Working Groups in 2018.
Outcomes of the work done in 2017 has been adopted by GA, and YEU proudly can say that we have Policy paper on youth work and radicalisation; Policy paper on gender perspective and Position paper on Blended Learning.
Additionally, YEU has awarded YEU Youth Worker of the Year “Mykola Pekh” award to Daniel John Carter from our Member Organisation from Wales – Project 2020.
