News from Association for Democratic Prosperity – Zid!
Association for Democratic Prosperity – Zid with its partner Union of Free Trade Union in Montenegro (UFTUM), is implementing the project “Protection of Youth’s Rights in the Labor Market through Active Employment Measures" which is supported by the European Union.
One of the activities of the project is 6 two-day training on the protection of labor rights of the young people and the possible effects of the existing legal is foreseen for the volunteers from ADP ZID and UFTUMYN activists from different cities in Montenegro.
On 11th and 12th May, in Bijelo Polje, ADP-Zid realized one of those trainings for the strengthening of the capacities of UFTUMYN. Those trainings will result with strengthening of underrepresented groups to take part in the decisions and policies concerning the labor market participation and protection of youth. One sub-group of the overall number of trainees will received training on monitoring methodologies after which they will be able to get directly involved in the monitoring process. Next training will be held 25th and 26th May in Pljevlja. There will be at least 60 young people taking part in all of these trainings.
On 8th and 9th May 2013, ADP-Zid, as a contact point of the Youth in Action program, realized the training for supporting interested NGOs in Montenegro to prepare project application for the next deadline. 6 NGOs took part in the training. The training process will be continued in the house training which will be held with each NGO individually.
ADP- Zid organized the meeting “Human security - a challenge to the perspective of Montenegro and the region". The meeting was held on 22nd May 2013 in Podgorica, “Nikić” Hotel. This event was part of the activities of “Cross-border Citizens' Network for Peace, Inter-communal Reconciliation & Human Security”, a joint initiative with partners from Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey. The ultimate objective of this initiative was to trigger a change in the state/national security oriented political culture towards the direction of human security, as such encouraging country and regional level democratization processes.
This meeting was organized in the framework of the project “Cross-border Citizens' Network for Peace, Inter-communal Reconciliation & Human Security” supported by European Union and hereby represented by EU Delegation in Montenegro within the framework of the Civil Society Facility - Partnership Programs for Civil Society Organizations.
