MOJU sees long-term project approved under the social inclusion theme
MOJU saw recently the project "Mais Sucesso" (More Success), a long-term project (2013-2015) in the field of social inclusion of children and youth being approved.
The Project "Mais Sucesso" part of a consortium of 12 public entities, being Moju promoter and manager entity, who propose to develop a series of initiatives to meet the needs of children and youth, and respective families, socioeconomically disadvantaged from the municipality of Olhão.
The proposed activities fall into five strategic areas and aim to address the main issues in the Olhão’s youth population, with the conductive line to fight for equal opportunities and the strengthening of social cohesion:
I - Strategic Area school inclusion and non-formal education;
II - Strategic Area vocational and employability;
III - Strategic Area of boosting community and citizenship;
IV - Strategic Area of digital inclusion;
V - Strategic Area of entrepreneurship and empowerment of young people.
The Project "Mais Sucesso" arises under the 5.ª Geração do Programa Escolhas (5th Generation of the Choices Program), a nationwide program created in January 2001 that is conducted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, cast in the High Commissioner for Immigration and Cultural Dialogue (ACIDI) and aims to promote the social inclusion of children and youth (6 to 24 years) from vulnerable socio-economic contexts.
Soon we will enter the dissemination phase of this project. There is a future with More Success for kids at risk of Olhão!
