European Youth Event – call for participants
Youth for Exchange and Understanding (YEU) is inviting young people to attend one of the biggest youth events in 2014 – EUROPEAN YOUTH EVENT!
From 9 to 11 May 2014, the European Youth Forum is organising a European Youth Event (EYE) in Strasbourg, France, in which YEU will be involved. During those days, the European Parliament will open its doors to thousands of young people and invite them to exchange ideas and perspectives for the future of Europe, just ahead of European elections. Within the Strasbourg European Parliament, there will be idea laboratories, political debates, role-play games, concerts and even a street parade.
YEU will be there! We have 25 places and we want you with us!
YEU will be promoting a policy paper on social rights for inclusive youth policy – previously we will develop a policy paper and our plan is to invite young people, expert and policy makers present in EYE to give their contribution to it.
We plan to hold a stand on which YEU and our activities will be presented with special emphasis on policy paper and discussions with young people.
YEU will be using NFE methodology to gather opinions of young people, experts and policy makers.
Also, during the stand we will be shooting the videos in which youth will state their opinions regarding topics related to social exclusion, marginalization and poverty. All the videos will be posted on online platform which will be created as part of YEU web site.
We are looking for:
- Young people from 18-30
- Preferably coming from EU countries
- Participants of TC Getting online for advocacy in Warsaw, Poland (you can still apply here)
- With clear motivation to contribute to YEU activities in EYE
