La Fenice - Associazione di promozione sociale
Acronym: APS La Fenice
The organization was officially funded and registered in 2012. However, the people involved in its creation were already volunteering at the former Youth Centre of Tortona or working within the educational and youth services of the local Municipality (from 2005/2006). La fenice implements activities in the field of youth policies, youth work, educational and youth services and cultural events from a few years now, collaborating (as individuals and professionals as well as partners) with the Youth Policy Office of Tortona Municipality. From its birth, La fenice has been focusing on using and developing non formal education methodologies and on writing, promoting and implementing european projects and initiatives in partnership with the local high schools and other local organisations.
La Fenice in numbers: - Around 15 Youth in Action and Erasmus Plus projects hosted and implemented in Tortona, more than 30 outgoing projects all over Europe - More than 50 events, workshops and labs implemented at the local level and in the local high schools - Around 10 educational projects activated at the local and regional level in partnership with different public and private bodies - A network of more than 15 local bodies (schools, organisations, informal groups, public bodies, etc.) - A network of around 20 organisations and youth centres from all over Europe - A network of around 10 youth organisations and potential partners from all over the world - Around 30 active members and volunteers, all aged between 15 and 30 years old - Around 200 associates and supporters, from 13 to 60 years old - Around 100 youngsters (13-20) weekly involved in the Youth Centre Activities - Around 10 years of experience in the field of youth policies, thanks to the collaboration with the local Youth Policies Office - 1 youth centre (“YOUTHUB” - Chalet Castello) to manage in the earth of Tortona, from October 2015! - From June 2016, La fenice is also registered as Amateur Sport Association (ASD) with 76 ASD/ACLI members/associates
