YEU participated successfully in the peer feedback meeting for the first cycle of the QA of NFE process, which took place in Brussels between the 29th and 30th of October 2011. For the case of YEU, QA was implemented during the training course “Eurogaming 2010: NFE in Action - Increasing inclusiveness in youth work and volunteering ", that was held this September in Mollina Spain, during the University of Youth and Development. During the peer feedback meeting, the project was greeted with enthusiasm and received constructive feedback after the presentation and discussion on its quality indicators. The project was presented by YEU representative Kostas Kompotis and Secretary General Marko Paunovic.
The Non-Formal Education Quality Assurance process is currently being developed by the European Youth Forum, which is facilitating the political process towards an agreement on how to organize quality assurance of Non-Formal Education on a European level. The QA aims to increase the quality of Non-Formal Education in Europe and as a result establish the recognition of this quality. The network supports the members in assuring the quality of their education by improving the educational methodologies and processes within the organizations, and increasing the understanding of it by other actors in society.
